People became suspicious when Phillip could not come out of his house. When they entered the house, they found Phillip hanging dead from the roof of his house.
According to Ntchisi police station, the deceased and his brother Jentala, 28 had gone to a nearby Village to drink beer. Phillip returned home ealrier than his brother and ate all Nsima without leaving some for his brother.
When Jentala came back from the drinking joint and found that there was no Nsima for him, he demanded his Nsima back and started fighting with Phillip until Jentala was unconscious.
