Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has secured a testing match for Flames before they play Tanzania in 2018 World Cup Qualifiers Preliminary Round on 7th October.
According to a statement released by FAM, Flames will travel to Uganda to play the Crains of Uganda on 3th October. The last time Malawi played Uganda was on 6th July 2015 during the “Malawi at 51 Celebrations” at Kamuzu Stadium. The match, which was Flames’ first game in realm of Enerst Mtawali and Mswazirimo Ramadhan ended 1 – 0 in favour of the hosts with Chiukepo Msowoya heading in the winner for the hosts 85 minutes.
Flames has a tough assignment to fulfill in 2018 World Cup Qualifiers Preliminary Round. Flames will travel to Tanzania to play the ‘Taifa Stars’ on 7th October and later on 11th of the same month, Flames will host the ‘Taifa Stars’ at Kamuzu Stadium in a second league encounter.
