Students Union of Chancellor College has obtained a court injunction stopping Chancellor College Administration from proceeding with its stern move of barring students with outstanding fees balances from sitting for end of year examinations
In an interview with a campus magazine of Chanco storm, the SUCC president Frank Chidampamba confirmed the development and said that the injunction has been obtained from Blantyre High court. Chidampamba who travelled to Blantyre after consulting stake holders said that it took SUCC executive’s passion to save fellow students from the impending disaster. He further said that the administration should at least allow students with fees balances to sit for their examinations and withhold their results until they settle the fees balances.
Chancellor College administration posted a communiqué on 17th September saying that only students who are fully registered will be allowed to sit for end of year examinations.
The injunction which is pending hearing on 21 September 2015 is barring the administrations’ agenda of stopping students with school fees balances from sitting for their end of year examinations.
Students at Chancellor College will commence their end of year examination on 21 September 2015 and end on 9 October 2015.
Meanwhile, the Students Union has urged students with outstanding fees balances not to stay idle but to make sure they settle the balances before the release of examination results as it will not be responsible for any withheld results.
